Jeremy Boyd, MD, FACEP

Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine 


Dr. Boyd joined Vanderbilt in 2013 as the department’s first Emergency Ultrasound fellow. He now serves as both the Associate Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship Director and Assistant Medical Director of the Nashville VA.

His interests include the teaching and use of point of care ultrasound in multiple settings (ED/ICU, international, and prehospital), graduate and undergraduate medical education, and wilderness medicine. He has served on the board of directors of the National Resident Matching Program (the Match) and served as Chief Resident at the University of Cincinnati prior to coming to Vanderbilt. A graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, the Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program of Columbia University, and the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, his roots are deepest in Tennessee and he enjoys exploring his new home in Music City with his wife and two young daughters.
