Located in the thriving city of Nashville, Tennessee—Vanderbilt is a dynamic and rewarding place to master the skills of Emergency Ultrasound. We offer a 1-year Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship program for qualified graduates of an accredited emergency medicine residencyprogram. We have space for one fellow each academic year. Fellows work eight clinical shifts (8-hour shifts) a month at one of the three Emergency Departments – Vanderbilt University Hospital, The Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and the Nashville Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
At the core of our fellowship program is a dedication to the best didactic and hands-on training in Emergency Ultrasound. To be world-class educators in all areas of emergency Medicine is part of the Vanderbilt tradition. You will also have access to a strong and collaborative research division. This team is composed of several NIH-funded researchers who are willing to provide guidance and direction in performing high-quality Emergency Ultrasound research.
Our robust International Division has established an emergency medicine residency Program in Guyana. Fellows are given the opportunity to teach the Guyanese physicians working in their Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department.
