Why did you choose VUMC Emergency Medicine?

I chose VUMC Emergency Medicine because it was apparent the program supported the residents while also preparing them to be the best EM doctors they can be. I wanted to leave my residency program feeling as prepared as possible, which I believe VUMC EM will do. I also really enjoyed the camaraderie and social environment of the program.

What are your interests within Emergency Medicine?

I am interested in ultrasound and medical education.

What would you be doing if you weren't doing Emergency Medicine?

Within medicine, I would have been interested in Internal Medicine. Outside of medicine, I've always thought being a songwriter would be an awesome career.

What's your 5-year plan?

Ultimately, I am undecided. I am wanting to explore as much as possible within EM during my time at Vandy.

What's a random fact about you?

I used to be a childhood singer here in Nashville.
