Dr. Angela Bailey Heidel is a native Texan, born in Houston and raised in Carrollton, a suburb of Dallas. She completed her undergraduate education at Xavier University of Louisiana. She then moved to Nashville to attend medical school at Meharry Medical College, where she met her husband Mark. She completed her Emergency Medicine residency at University of Illinois Chicago. Upon completion of residency, she moved back to Nashville to join her future husband, who was completing his neuroradiology residency and fellowship at Vanderbilt. The couple settled in Brentwood and made the city their home. She spends the majority of her time away from the emergency department being wife to Mark and mom to Aubrey and Caleb. She is a foodie, loves trying new restaurants, and cooking new recipes. Her personal EM interests includes increasing the efficiency in the ED while providing compassionate and excellent care for patients who are often experiencing some of life's worst moments.
