Simulation Division
Joe Sikon grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He was accepted into a 6 year B.S./M.D. program from high school and graduated summa cum laude from Kent State University in 2012. He received his M.D. and Certificate of Bioethics from Northeast Ohio Medical University in 2016 and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency training at Vanderbilt in 2019. He then went on to complete his Fellowship in Medical Simulation at Vanderbilt in 2020. Joe currently works as both a member of Vanderbilt's Medical Simulation Division and Emergency Airway Division. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Emergency Medicine Clinical Competence Committee, and member of the EM Residency Program Evaluation Committee.
When he's not at work or in the sim lab Joe likes to spend his time lifting at the gym, cooking, and spending time with his wife and chocolate Labrador.
